Welcome to another entry on our diary for Ironclad, where we take you inside the developing process of our game. Today we are focusing on the artwork.
The look of a board game is an essential part of the designing process. The game’s concept, it’s historical setting, the gameplay, the plot, all these and many more, are important factors that may affect the art and the aesthetics of a game. That’s why we always try to find the artist that best fits the game’s requirements.
As you will see, Ironclad’s visual style is very different from our previous projects, Argonauts and the upocoming Deus Ex Machina, but not any less dynamic and exciting. Ironclad will be a futuristic space adventure and it will follow the tradition of all those classic movies, cartoons, comic book and japanese anime that we all know and love but at the same time have it’s own unique style.
As we previously announced the artist on Ironclad is Manos Lagouvardos. Here we will present you with some of his early uncolored character sketches to give you a glimpse of what we are talking about.
We hope you are as excited as we are! We will keep updating you with more artwork as the project moves forward. Stay tuned!
